I’m very much in Love with the Right Click Suite by @Serechops!
Great set of tools & the LAF is smooth aF! for me, what not always comes by nature for the guud stuff!
For the seeking among us - here you’ll find his work. [CLICK]
All my plugins are dogfooded, but there’s a few that I deem necessary for any stash install, even if just for temporary development
log-console so I don’t need to keep on going back to the logs page and can just hit F12 for a quick overview rebrand because I have too many stash installs QxSceneCard, I’ve gotten too used to the look of it useragent for quickly debugging/ updating scrapers
I also use Scene Marker Tags to Scene and Stash Notifications. Here are some other essential ones for me:
Select sort alphabetically: Not an official plugin as such, but WithoutPants made this back in the day to retain the functionality of sorting tags alphabetically in the selection windows. It’s absolutely essential to me as I have a ton of tags for scraping purposes, but I use leading whitespaces to bring to the top the ones I actually use when manually tagging scenes.
renamerOnUpdate: It’s not perfect, but it’s very versatile and works well enough for my purposes. Absolutely essential for me.
7djx1qp’s various plugins related to tagger, maybe Stash Batch Result Toggle as a highlight. It’s very useful since I often want to scrape against both StashDB and TPDB, but when I scrape against TPDB I don’t want to update certain fields, so with this plugin I can ensure the those fields are untouched.
The Porn DB Markers: Not quite essential, but this is the easiest way to get studio markers to my Stash.
VideoScrollWheel: I don’t know how I’ve managed without this - it’s just so handy to be able to both adjust the volume and seek the video with just the mouse wheel.
Tag Scenes From Performer Tags: Makes manual tagging much easier since I can tag the performers with certain tags that typically don’t change from scene to scene (ethnicity, breast size, height, etc.). Yes, this information is available in some way in performer fields, but I’ve found that it’s easier to maintain my system in scene tags and filter scenes that way.
Other nice-to-have plugins:
Tagger-img-res: Nice to have the scene cover resolution available in tagger view.
Overlay-info: Having the codec visible on the scene card is very useful since I like to transcode my videos.
7dJx1qP’s plugins are great but it’s hard to recommend them after they’ve been abandoned almost immediately and almost all of them are going to break in v0.29
Extra Performer Info - add adult industry awards as custom fields and performer tags
Misc Tags Add group makeup tags eg Foursome (BBBG) if there is there is the Foursome tag and tags for stash-vr-companion
Stash Performer Image Cropper Useful for cropping images, useful if there is no profile image you can start with a screenshot and crop the image and at least get something usable
Timestamp Trade because it’s my database of markers and other info
Funscript Markers I’m using FunGen that uses object detection in the video to track moving body parts and generate a funscript and this can guess the sex position and create markers.
Stashdb performer gallery Automatically download images and create a gallery of images from stashdb and other stash boxes. The workflow is add the stashid from stashdb, pmvstash, fansdb etc, add the [Stashbox Performer Gallery] to the performer, wait for it to downlad the images and then review the images and tag an image with [Set Profile Image]
renamerOnUpdate for moderate to advanced users I maintain my own renamerOnUpdate fork now
Tag-filter - Hides meta-tags from dropdown tag lists, where meta-tags can be defined as tags that exist only to organize other tags and not to describe content, i.e. the word genre as a tag
This thread is a bit stale, so I thought it might be good to get some fresh opinions. Here are my current favorites:
VideoScrollWheel: I hate to shout out my own work, but this was one of my favorite features of an organizer that I used prior to Stash so I prioritized making this plugin. Being able to quickly and easily skim through a video or adjust volume by just scrolling rather than having to precisely click was a game changer for me.
O Stats: As someone that constantly references my YouTube history to find a video I watched, it’s nice having similar functionality in Stash.
Scene Page Remember States: I did make my own tweak to this one so that it works on galleries and images too, but the basic concept here of automatically opening the specific detail tab you were last looking at can really improve the experience if you’re trying to do a lot of editing or reviewing specific info across multiple scenes.
tagCopyPaste: Another of my own creations, but it’s very convenient to be able to copy/paste a whole group of tags between objects. I also like being able to keep a text document with lists of frequently used sets of tags that I can copy from and paste directly onto a scene/gallery/image.
Markergen: Instantly generating the preview for a created/updated Marker is a simple but effective workflow improvement.
Sprite Tab: The recent custom scrubber spritesheet generation options that were added into Stash finally allowed me to have spritesheets that are useful for skimming through a 2-3+ hour JAV videos. Paired with this plugin, it has really changed the way I view scenes.
Overlay-info: I am using a modified version of this that puts the scene code on scene cards which I think is essential for JAV collectors. Ideally that modified version would be hosted somewhere, but for now, you’ll need to go to the JAVStash Discord and ask someone for it.
Quick Marker: This is a recent addition to my loadout, but I really like how much easier it makes it to create Markers by allowing simple keyboard shortcuts for marking the in/out points of a Marker similar to video editing software like DaVinci Resolve.
Stash Marker → DaVinci Resolve Export: This is a separate utility and not a plugin, but it pairs very well with Quick Markers if you’re interested in creating your own compilations in Resolve.
