A few days ago, I already asked on opinions about this in discord and have been asked to also make a discourse post about it. For the change of a basic-tag like these, I agree that more eyes are better.
I would like to suggest changing the definition of the following tags:
Lesbian:
Scenes with only female scene partners.
Towsome (Lesbian):
Exactly two female performers, at the same time.
Those definitions, in my opinion are not concrete enough. I came across this edit, which adds those tags to a scene which I assume is about two clothed dommes sitting next to each other and talking to the viewer. Just from the thumbnail, title and description I could not see anything that would let me associate such a scene with lesbian content, yet the current definition of the Lesbian-tags is totally fitting such a scene. Therefore I would suggest changing the definitions to something like this:
Lesbian:
Sexual or romantic activity exclusively between female performers, with no male participation.
Twosome (Lesbian):
Exactly two female performers engaged in sexual activity with each other with no other participant.
These changes would technically not only be necessary for those two tags, but for the whole Lesbian-Tag-Family. Other tags that currently have similar definitions like Lesbian (Twosome) are:
Threesome (Lesbian), Foursome (Lesbian), Fivesome (Lesbian), Sixsome (Lesbian), Gangbang (Lesbian), Group Sex (Lesbian), Orgy (Lesbian), First Lesbian Scene.
Any opinions on this change? Are the suggested definitions not clear enough or too strict for any possible scene you can imagine, that should be tagged as Lesbian, but would or would not be caught by the new definitions?
Thank you @sdbtj for recommending to add “with no other participant“ to the Twosome (Lesbian) tag. While technically not needed, it makes the tag more precise and could prevent some wrong usage.
*edit: This is a related topic: Why are there so many "Lesbian" scenes that include men?
