How do I turn off new scans generating the sort of timeline/preview beneath the video player (bottom right). I transferred my database and some setting got screwed up!
They are called scrubber sprites. Go to Settings > Tasks > Scan > and disable Generate scrubber sprites toggle.
There is also a parralel task under Go to Settings > Tasks > Generate called Scene Scrubber Sprites you want to disable.
Thanks - I was just about to edit to say I already have Scene Scrubber Sprites turned off but they are stll being generated on new scans?
Scan tasks are run upon files being added for the first time, generate tasks are run on files that are aleady added. So in your case it sounds like you disabled on for generate, but not scan.
