That’s so cool! Thank you very much!
It all works well, but I don’t see settings anywhere?

Perfect. Thanks you so much! ![]()
I got a bit carried away here, you might also like this addition
You can now select “short form content” videos.
Videos witth a duration of less than like 2minute are probably some sort of social media style content anyway, so these can be added to the feed too, without needing markers.
they are automatically enabled in hd mode by default
Hi @Dining9093 I got this issue how can I fixed it . I downloaded the repo then put in ~/.stash/plugins/stashgifs
I managed to resolve it by installing plugin via source:
name: StashGifs
source url: https://anonymous.4open.science/api/repo/stashgifs-D783/file/index.yml
localpath: stashgifs
Good yeah that’s the correct way to install it
Moved the index url to my direct github, to simplify release management.
To recieve new updates just edit the source to point to the new URL, sorry for the inconvencience ![]()
That’s brilliant. If you have more of these epiphanies keep 'm coming. ![]()
I’m getting the following error:
listing remote packages: failed to get package list: failed to get remote file: Get “www.githubusercontent.com/evolite/stashgifs/refs/heads/master/index.yml”: unsupported protocol scheme “”
It’s https://raw.githubusercontent.com/evolite/stashgifs/refs/heads/master/index.yml. Your URL is missing raw part.
Thanks. It works now. ![]()
I just installed this wonderful plugin. It reminds me of the Stash Reels plugin, except your plugin can display images and markers, can manipulate metadata (e.g. tags), and has a query feature. ![]()
Possible rating bug. My Stash ratings setup is vanilla. Rating system type = stars, rating star precision = full. However, I noticed StashGifs is displaying markers using the 10-star system.
Suggestions
a. UX consistency with Stash. This is more philosophical than anything, and probably not a big deal to many users. But the plugin changes the Stash colour/font schema which breaks consistency. Consider adding a settings toggle to disable any styling that departs from stock Stash (colors, font, etc).
b. Auto-fit content to viewport. Consider adding an option in the settings to toggle auto-fitting of content to the viewport. Many portrait oriented items get displayed off the viewport. Never mind if that behavior is an intentional design decision.
Glad you like it! and good points!
It should be consistent in a way though, if you rate something a 5/10 it’ll be 2.5 in your stash. But yeah if you are using full. Then it could cause issues I guess.
I tried fetching the setting from stash, But in the end it felt like it was more hassle than it was worth. Ill take another look at it
Hopefully images shouldn’t span over your viewport. But yeah the scrolling is intentional. I like the reddit style browsing better than tiktok scrolling. Since I mostly have 16:9 markers it didn’t feel like an issue. But I can see how portrait content maybe fits better
Could lock it to a max height, or add a setting to support that type of snapping, esp on mobile i see how it could be useful
StashTV also has the possibility to rate and interact with content now, so if you like that snapping scroll feed better ![]()
I’ll take a look at the styling from stash. Theres so many themes for Stash, and i don’t really know how to take those themes and use them, I ended up on a yellow theme and just kinda went with it. to create stashgifs as its own identity. But i get your point, should look into how themes and such is done in stash and if i can get that somehow
Updated stars to reflect stash settings, (except quarter and tenth stars, does anyone use those? seems like a hassle)
fixed some stuff with loading and feeds, tried some other way to autoplay video and manage whos turn it was to play audio etc, but wasnt that successful, moved some buttons around, should be easy enough to find ![]()
still not entirely happy how it behaves on mobile, but we’ll get there.
Think you just need to reinstall stashgifs. That’s what it looks like.
Accidentally deleted an important file in the later releases (the feed css, it was cahced in my dev env so didn’t notice), its fixed now in version v5.15.6
