One of my projects is to start tracking adult industry awards on stashdb and wikidata.
We have a generic Award Winning and Award Nominee tag as well as a tag for each competition and year eg:
If you want another tag created let me know and I will create the tag.
There is usually a press release where you can find the award winners such as 2024 XBIZ Awards Winners Announced - XBIZ.com or sometimes wikipedia or simiar.
If I can get some people to go through these press releases and add the tags to each winning scene.
Stashdb is good for tagging scenes but not good for movies and performer based awards so storing I am storing this in wikidata. Wikidata is a structured crowd sourced database from wikipedia and can be edited by anyone and I’ve been adding entries for missing performers and adding details about the award winnenrs.
I have written the Extra Performer Info plugin to fetch award details from wikidata and add details of these awards in the custom performer fields in stash.
Along with editing stashdb I’m editing wikidata and adding the info eg Angela White where a series of awards has been added to the performer.
Tasks we need to do is add missing performers to wikidata, add the wikidata links for all pornograpic performers to stashdb and add details about awards to each performer.
How you can help:
- Read the press press release and add the Award Winner (XBIZ Awards 2024) tag for scene based awards.
- Find the performers in wikidata and add the award to the list.
- Find the press releases for new awards and comment below and we can create the tags in stashdb
