Porn Site Manager platform / GayNetwork

I found another situation where I have no idea what the real designation of distributors, networks, studios, and sub-studios actually is.

It appears as though they all run on the Porn Site Manager platform. Each instance of it (“site” or “theater”) can have one or more “studios”. It looks like everyone using Porn Site Manager rolls up to GayNetwork, another site using the platform based on the fact that there is a link at the bottom of every site’s studios list linking to them.

Porn Site Manager is owned by Studio Presse sarl, who happens to also own half of the sites making use of the platform. But it’s important to note that they don’t own all of the sites using Porn Site Manager (we’ll get there soon), and not all sites owned by Studio Presse make use of Porn Site Manager.

Sites by 2257:

It seems like someone noticed this pattern of all of the sites using the same CMS and being a part of the same “network” and created Frenchporn on StashDB which I honestly can’t fault, with a front page like that you’d be reasonable to assume they’re the “network”. The community scrapers started off with “PornsiteManager” as the “network” before changing it to “GayNetwork” instead. Also a reasonable move, since GayNetwork is what they seem to call themselves.

Should we rename the Frenchporn studio on StashDB to GayNetwork? It has no scenes directly attached to it currently.

Oh right, that brings up the second aspect of all of this. Why does Frenchporn not have any scenes directly attached to it? That’s because Frenchporn.fr has a bunch of “studios” associated with it, none of which are called Frenchporn. The same situation applies to Gaynetwork.com which similarly has a bunch of “studios”.

Should videos on Frenchporn.fr under the studio MilitaryGayXXX be matched to the Frenchporn studio or the Military Gay XXX studio on StashDB? It seems like in those cases, the studios are redistributing the same copy of the scene on both sites (FP, MGXXX). Should studios in StashDB be matched to studios in Porn Site Manager, instead of sites?

It’s not always the case where content available on GayNetwork is available on another Porn Site Manager site. One example is GayNetwork redistributing some content from UK Naked Men (GN, UKNM), which is associated with a completely different network. But there are also pro-am performers on GayNetwork who have their own studios and upload their own content.

Worth noting: Eurocreme has scenes directly attached to it, unlike GayNetwork/Frenchporn.fr, but also lists studios: https://www.eurocreme.com/en/studios

Additionally, Eurocreme itself appears as a studio under GayNetwork (with 28 videos) and also under Frenchporn (with 1 video), adding another layer of complexity to this hierarchy.

I’m trying to create Dreamboy Hotel on StashDB (one of these studios) with no success so far.

I’ve been searching the StashDB documentation but couldn’t find clear information: does a studio that is already a child of a parent network (like Eurocreme being a child of a network) allow having its own child studios? Or is the hierarchy limited to a maximum of two levels (network → studio)? Any clarification would be appreciated.

Thanks for clarifying the two-level limit. So in this case, how should I handle Dreamboy Hotel?

Since Eurocreme is already a child studio under GayNetwork, I cannot add Dreamboy Hotel as a child of Eurocreme. Should I:

  • Create Dreamboy Hotel as an independent studio (losing the Eurocreme relationship)?
  • Or should Eurocreme be reconsidered as a parent network itself, given that it has its own scenes AND distributes content from multiple studios?

The latter would be consistent with how this hierarchy seems designed to work.

Good catch! I didn’t notice this when I originally went through these.

It looks like most of the studios under Eurocreme (the ones not also under GayNetwork/Frenchporn) should probably be treated as if they were under GayNetwork. That is to say that they should be their own studio on StashDB with their own scenes.

It looks like those are just redistributed scenes also associated with the main Eurocreme site.

Just to confirm: Dreamboy Hotel appears on Eurocreme’s studios page but I don’t see it listed under GayNetwork or Frenchporn. Following your guidance, should I create it as a child studio of GayNetwork on StashDB?
