The addition of autofocus to some form fields would greatly improve the UX. Currently, even if there is only one input, the user must navigate to and select it before anything can be input. Adding autofocus would eliminate mouse operations and allow users to start typing (etc.) immediately.
This would be especially beneficial when conducting searches but also is helpful anywhere there is a clear “first step” (like naming a performer or studio when creating new entries, for example). Currently nothing is focused when a new dialog or page opens, so this couldn’t possibly degrade the UX.
I would love to have the time to learn the codebase and add this in myself. Sadly, I just don’t have the time. Still, it is such a minor thing that would massively improve user experience, especially when starting from scratch.
