Performer-age

Features

Add performer age tags to all performers, similarly to cuptag.

This includes: [18+, 20+, 30+, 40+, 50+, 60+, 70+], NOT any character tags (Experienced/ Young *)

Can optionally also tag based on

  • Real current age
  • Stash scene age (age of last scene in Stash (excluding remasters))
  • StashDB scene age (age of last scene in StashDB (excluding remasters))

Personal Opinion here. Age of Performer should be stored on the scene if anywhere. Though part of me screams not to store calculated data.

I wholeheartedly agree -

I was too lazy to iterate over the scenes instead and as for storing calculated data, I was making age tags for Tags.feederbox.cc and this was the easiest slution I came up with.

After realizing how good it is at foot-shooting, I have decided to share it as the foot-shooting-gun. If you don’t have a need for it, then you’re welcome to try my other wares (at your feet or otherwise)

i’m all for what (I think) you were intending. The way I usually structure is to tag the exact (calculated age) value in the scene, then have a parent tag that contains the ranges. When searching the parent tag is what I would use.

Overall though, if the content being served up is all relatively recent, it probably makes no matter. My preference comes from having content that is decades old.

The problem with including it in the scene is it becomes hard to differentiate between plugin-set age and scraped age, and it has the potential to be re-uploaded to stashdb postentially incorrectly, AFAIK nothing scrapes performer tags so it’s much easier to sort through on that end

That’s a particular rabbit hole I haven’t really put any thought into as yet. I was kind of figuring it’s hard enough to get publishers to agree on anything, and when they can’t even differentiate two performers with the same name, well, figured it didn’t matter at all to anyone but the collector. lol.

Appears to fail under two conditions when trying to calculate ages from last scene on StashDB

  1. If a performer has a birthdate at all, but does not have an associated stashdb id
  2. If a performer has a birthdate at all, has a stash-id, but does not have any scenes listed on StashDB

Example performer for the first case would be a fictional character with a known birthdate, ie. some video game characters (such characters would very likely not ever meet the standards for inclusion in StashDB)
Example for the second case would be this performer, who at time of writing has no listed scenes.
