There are many small things that could improve Stash, but the single biggest issue for me is cleaning and zip files. When scanning, if a zip files already exists (and hopefully has the same file hash - although I don’t know this), it doesn’t read the contents of the zip file. But when cleaning, it reads the contents of every single zip file.
Request:
-
Create an option in settings (or even in the clean dialog - a checkbox say), to say ignore (don’t read) contents of a zip file if the file has not changed.
-
If there is currently no way to know if a zip file has changed, please still add an option to ignore / don’t read zip file contents when cleaning.
I have lessened the impact of this by moving zip files to a separate directory library location, and also use sub-folder so I can use slecteive scan. But it is still a painful process.
Thank you for considering this.
