Nhentai scraper error 403 forbidden

Whenever I try to use the nhentai scraper, it gives the following error:
scrapeGalleryURL: input: scrapeGalleryURL failed to load URL “https://nhentai.net/g/126290/”: http error 403:Forbidden

I have tried dozens of different URLs, using a VPN, using a different browser, nothing changes. The scraper was working fine for a while, then I noticed it stopped working on 3/15 and started producing this error. There was an update for the scraper, but it still doesn’t work. I also updated Stash, that didn’t work either. Other scrapers I have (rule34 video, which also uses a URL scraper) work just fine. I’m very confused on why it would just stop working suddenly, does anyone have any insight on how to fix this?

looks like cloudflare got more strict

I feel you on this and im getting pretty annoyed with it. Being at the whim of an endpoint and cloudflares policies is not a solution and certainly not scalable long term. I plan on looking into this. I have some ideas like downloading the metadata locally and importing it. But I haven’t experimented on it there is definitely a way around this that hasn’t been considered yet.
