Long time PGV3 user here. Finally feel like my collection has outgrown PGV3, as good as it has been for me. I consider it near perfect for my needs, other than it starting to bog down with a collection over 5,000 videos. Other than being a little slow sometimes, it does everything I’ve ever wanted it to. But I’m considering making the jump to Stash, I just have one major issue:
I like to have PGV on one screen off to the side, with the video I’m watching on my main screen in front of me. This makes adding tags and organizing a video really easy while I still have the video playing in full screen on my main screen. I’ve been doing this for 10 years now so its kind of an absolute requirement for me. PGV opens VLC when I double click a video and it opens wherever I last had the vlc player which is exactly what I want.
Is there any way to get this exact same functionality with Stash? I’ve tried a few of the plugins that claim to give a button to open VLC, but none of them work. And I would really prefer to be able to just double click a scene to play it in VLC. I basically never want to use the built in player, I only want to use Stash for organization.
Is this possible? You guys can’t all be just using stash on a single screen can you? At first glance Stash looks sooooo much better (and faster) than PGV3, but this is kind of a dealbreaker for me.
