How to force Identify task to "Create" new performers instead of "Skip"?

Hi everyone,

I am having trouble with the Identify task auto-creating new performers.

Even though my scrapers (like JavBus) successfully find the performer names, Stash keeps marking them as “Skip” because they don’t exist in my database yet.

I have already tried:

  1. Setting the Performer strategy to “Create” in the Identify popup.

  2. Checking the “Create missing performers” option (where available).

  3. Confirming that the scraper is returning the correct performer name in the logs.

However, it still defaults to “Skip” unless I manually click “Create” for each scene in the Scene Tagger. With a massive library manual creation is very difficult.

My Questions:

  • How can I make the Identify task automatically create a new performer profile when it’s not found in my local DB?

  • Is there a global setting to change the default behavior from “Skip” to “Create” for all new scraper results?

  • Are there any “Confidence Score” or “Matching Strategy” settings I should adjust to stop this skipping behavior?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

you might be skipping them based on what it is meant to do with ambiguous performers. Look for “
”Skip matches that have more than one result” and “Skip single name performers with no disambiguation” and see if it improves. Also try using stash-box at stashed.org as your primary source before falling back to any other stash boxes or scrapers.

I’m confused, are you talking about the “Identify” task or the scene tagger. At first it sounds like you are talking about the identify task, which is automatic and activated from either settings > tasks > identify or from checking the tick boxes on some scenes, then clicking the … button and clicking identify. But then you mention the scene tagger, located by clicking the tag icon in the scene view.
