How to add authentication to protect Stash?

By default Stash offers no authnetication. To enable it simply add username and password via graphical interface.

  1. Go to Settings > Security > Authentication > Credentials.
  2. Click Edit and set Username and Password fields and click Confirm.

If someone has access to the device hosting Stash web server the authentication can be disabled by simply modifying config.yml file.
