When selecting the backup option in tasks, you should have an option to encrypt the backup with a password with AES support or other encryption models.
Describe the benefits this would bring to existing users
Massive benefit from a security/privacy standpoint as raw data and tables/metadata can be extracted by anyone without it.
Is there an existing way to achieve this goal?
Yes through external automation.
Additional context
This would be a massive and substantial build of trust amongst the privacy and security advocates as it garauntees data is encrypted at rest at a application level rather than having to rely on its supporting infrastructure. Not a huge overhead for implementation and is quite frankly a must have feature.
