I would like to propose an Edging /Jerking Mode, where you choose markers(or entire videos, or maybe markers with certain tags) and those will be played in a loop for a specified amount of time or until you click on a Finish button, at which point a specific marker(s) or video would play for a couple minutes.
Would be cool if there were modes to pick from/configure like Traffic light or on a tempo, beat etc. Ideally would be cool if we could switch those mid session instead of having to reconfigure everything.
Would also be cool if we could save presets so we don’t have to reconfigure everything every time.
What do you guys think? I think it could be a game changer!
It would be very cool to see an integration with Fap instructor (https://fapchallenger.com). They have a way that you can use local media. The fap instructor app generates the metronome along with other configurable options like lovense integration with butt plugs and other things, and some other tasks in addtion to what you listed.
I love the idea, but definitely a heavy lift. I have a python script that reads a CSV file of timecodes and randomly generates a video full of 5-second clips with moviepy. It’s basically an on-demand, randomized compilation creator. I’ve thought about reading the stash database file to pull marker timecodes instead, which would come close to your intended outcome, but wouldn’t be integrated into stash. I’d like to help make some of these ideas a reality within stash itself but I have to dig into the code and understand it better first.

Do you know ClipMash? It connects to your stash library and you can browse your markers to make videos out of them. It helped me come up with the idea.
Could be a good place to get started at.
I lack the technical abilities, but I am down to help out with the layout, UX, etc.
You might be interested in my plugin, Stash TV. It’s not designed for edging specifically but it does let you watch markers on loop until you’re ready to jump to the next one. You just need to create a saved makers filter in stash to show the markers you want in the order you want. Then you can select that filter in Stash TV. There’s a button on the side of the video for turning on looping. You can scroll, swipe or use arrow keys to move to the next video when you’re ready.
There’s not a good way to play a specific makers when you’re done nor for showing a traffic light/tempo but if other people also seem interested in using TV for that I might add those if I find the time
