Couple general questions

Hello! I was a user from some years ago… Then I was away and I’m trying to get back to my collection and I have some questions about the options of stash 3 years later.

1. Is there a way to move files? If I have the videos let’s say on path /disk1/folder/videos… is it possible to move those to /disk2/videos and don’t lose the DB? How?

2. At the beginning for some dumb reason I renamed the videos to 1.mp4, 2.mp4… Is there a way to name the videos with the information already scrapped in stash? I mean There’s the title, performers date, studio… Is there a way to rename files from stash?

3. After this years of absence… is there a way to automatically detect the video metadata? This time, videos has the information on the name of the file.

4. There are now plugins to apply different style. How are those applied? Is there a way to get a preview so I don’t have to test them all 1 by 1?

1. How can I move my library from one location to another?
2. Not with Stash graphical interface. Stash by design doesn’t modify the files. There are many community plugins for it though. See Search results for 'tags:plugin rename ' - Stash.
3. You can use built-in filename parser Scene filename parser - Stash-Docs or one of the community plugins Search results for 'tags:plugin parser' - Stash.
4. They are applied by adding new <script> for .js or <link> for .css tags that will modify existing or add new values. Some of the modifications have screenshots included in their topics (see theme), but for others you will have to experiment I’m afraid.
