According to this wikipedia - Anabolic Video - Wikipedia, anabolic signed a deal with gamelink to post their videos via their vod service. Would it be okay to add scenes from gamelink as the studio source since there is no other way to add anabolic video scenes at the moment and there won’t be because they were doing DVD only at that time.
Just FYI, sugarinstant, gamelink are all ADE and owned by Ravana. StashDB people have no clue how distribution works. ADE is a distributor and not allowed on StashDB. The reasons are historical. It’s not a consistent policy, its not enforced since people can submit anything they want and generally 3 people will vote yes to approve it.
I generally do not submit to stashDB since I am building my own database and I can easily get all the metadata myself.
ADE is often the only or primary distributor for a lot of content, especially from inactive studios.
StashDB and most people can be easily fooled by a simple domain name. If the site was called anabolic.com and run by Ravana then including it on stashDB is fine.
LethalHardcore has had many distributors and most Lethal scenes on StashDB are from ADE. Distribution changed recently from ADE to Gamma but StashDB allowed ADE metadata since ADE used lethalhardcore.com
ADE is just a distributor. I file by distributor but this is not really possible for most Stash contributors. Most people that contribute to stash have no idea on the provenance of their files. This is becuase they use pirate sources. So they have no idea if a scene came from a particular distribution. So its not really possible to handle scenes by distribution since people don’t know where the file they got is from … it fell of a truck.
any website owned or operated by us, including adultempire.com, adultdvdempire.com, dvdempire.com, gaydvdempire.com, popporn.com, gamelink.com, gay.gamelink.com, hotmovies.com, gayhotmovies.com, pornstarempire.com, sugarinstant.com, sugartvstore.com, tlagay.com, and tlavideo.com
I am 100% with you. However, we can’t file by distributor on stashdb. In addition, I do not think there is a concrete definition of what stash “scene” should be. It seems to lean towards more on scene and source site is a scene. but there is nothing to stop me from adding a fingerprint from another source site to a “scene” from stashdb.
