Request for additional interface functions

Dear Development Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I would like to propose several enhancements to the interface that I believe would significantly improve usability and user experience:

  1. Delete Current Video Option

    • Add a visible “Delete Current Video” button in the player menu.

    • Implement a keyboard shortcut: pressing the Delete (Del) key should remove the currently playing track and automatically move to the next one.

    • At present, the delete option feels too hidden and inconvenient.

  2. Bulk Editing of Displayed Sections (Video Descriptions)

    • Provide the ability to edit or hide video descriptions in bulk.

    • For users who find descriptions unnecessary or cluttered, this option would allow a cleaner interface.

  3. Automatic Generation of 3D-to-2D Video Covers Without Distortion

    • Studio-provided covers often contain excessive text and do not accurately represent the video.

    • Automatically generated 2D covers would offer a clearer and more consistent browsing experience.

  4. Sorting by Performer Name

    • Introduce the ability to sort all videos alphabetically by performer names (e.g., actresses).

    • This would make navigation and content organization more intuitive.

I believe these improvements would streamline the interface, reduce unnecessary clutter, and enhance overall usability. Thank you for considering these suggestions, and I look forward to your feedback.

Hello, I think we misunderstood each other. What I meant was deleting a scene using a keyboard shortcut while the video is playing in the player. I tried pressing [d d] several times, but nothing happened.

My setup:

  • OS: Linux Mint 21.3

  • Browser: Firefox

  • Application: Stash v0.30.1 (Docker)

You need to be in the Edit tab, so chaining edd would work.

This isn’t what I need. I have a large delete button in edit mode, but I’d like a simpler and faster way. Thanks for the answer, I hope you’ll think about it and maybe implement it.
