Besides their real AR passthrough scenes, the AR Porn studio is now distributing AI-made passthrough scenes.
The AI scenes are VRBangers scenes that:
- include a second mp4 video with the alpha information
- scene information is reworked to seem like a new scene (title and “story”)
- length is about 6 seconds shorter than the equivalent VRB scene as the studio presentation clip at the beginning is trimmed
I am creating these AI passthrough scenes to StashDB as new scenes, given point 2 and 3, and I would like to know if this is acceptable as new scenes, even if there will be cases of PHASH matching from VRB scenes sometimes.
Thank you
The purpose of stashdb is to match files to metadata so the question are the files different and do they need different metadata. We do allow you to add multiple versions of the scene under a different studio when it makes sense Re-Releases | StashDB Guidelines
Thanks for the reply and link to the info, tweeticoats.
Alright, so far I only have a few videos on which to base my findings:
- 4 (a) videos are shorter by 6 seconds than the VRB original, as the logo shown at start was trimmed - different phash
- 1 (b) is the same as the VRB original as it didn’t come with the logo - same phash
- All the above (c) have new titles, release date and scene details on AR porn website
(A) would count as a “remaster” based on length difference only; (B) could be considered a Re-release.
(C) is a condition to all, so according to the guidelines these can all be added as new scenes to AR porn.
Taking the original question further:
I can add the mentioned tags on what I upload and for which I had the equivalent VRB scene, but for those I don’t have the original I won’t know if it’s a Remaster (A) or a Re-release (B).
Thinking that this kind of AI passthrough scene re-releases will become widespread across many studios, should they be simplified with tagging and be all considered re-releases?
